Things to note

Windows & Walkers
Weatherlam View offers gorgeous views, with windows in the kitchen and living room space. Large windows offer views over the valley and across the lane. There are walking routes, and the balcony overlooks part of the pub garden to the left. This may be particularly difficult for dogs that struggle with seeing people, other dogs or cars, as at peak times, the lane can become busy.

Human & Dog Reactivity
As mentioned above this spot may be particularly difficult for dogs that struggle with seeing people, other dogs or cars, as at peak times, the lane can become busy. It would be better suited to dogs who are social but anxious than more reactive dogs.

Find out more

Set in the heart of the Lake District, Wetherlam View is a five-star luxury cottage with breathtaking views across the Little Langdale valley towards Wetherlam Fell. Designed for comfort, relaxation and adventure in equal measure, it’s the perfect base for you and your dog to explore the fells in true luxury.

The Space

Beautifully newly renovated and thoughtfully laid out, this chalet-style retreat combines high-end interiors with practical touches for outdoor living.

The living space is open-plan, beautifully airy, filled with natural light, and designed to make the most of the breathtaking fell views. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors span the far wall, drawing your eye straight out across the valley and flooding the room with soft daylight. Step outside onto the balcony, and you’re instantly immersed in the landscape.

Inside, the space feels warm yet contemporary. Large slate-effect tiled flooring runs throughout and at the heart of the room sits a statement bio-ethanol fireplace. Three plush armchairs are perfectly positioned by the windows, creating an inviting spot for morning coffee with a view, while a generous sofa offers space to gather and unwind after a day exploring.

A built-in wooden shelving nook adds charm and functionality, ideal for books or board games, while the neutral palette of soft creams, natural woods and gentle textures makes the space feel calm and luxurious.

It’s a living area designed for both relaxation and sociable evenings, bright and uplifting by day, cosy and atmospheric by night, all framed by some of the Lake District’s most spectacular scenery. The fully equipped kitchen and dining space make entertaining effortless, whether it’s a slow breakfast before a walk, or cosy suppers in.

Exceptionally Dog Friendly

Dogs are genuinely part of the experience here and not an afterthought. From the moment you arrive, they are made to feel just as welcome as their humans. Each stay includes a cosy, high-quality dog bed ready and waiting in its own doggy nook, creating a calm and comfortable space for them to settle into straight away. Thoughtful touches such as welcome treats and toys help them feel at home. The property has been carefully designed with doggy guests in mind. There is a dedicated boot room, ideal for storing muddy coats, walking boots and outdoor gear or bikes after a day exploring the fells.

One standout feature is the luxury dog wash and grooming station. After long countryside walks or rainy day rambles, you can rinse off muddy paws and freshen up coats in a purpose-built wash area with easy access shower fittings, and shampoo and doggy towels provided. There's also space to towel dry in comfort - it's practical, stylish and makes post walk clean ups effortless.

Thanks to its peaceful setting and homely layout, Wetherlam View is well suited to anxious dogs who benefit from calm surroundings and space to decompress. It may not be the best fit for highly reactive dogs due to the neighbouring pub and large windows with passing walkers in the valley.

For winding down, guests can enjoy:

  • A private sauna - a welcome treat after long hikes with the dog

  • A dedicated cinema room with large Smart TV and banquet seating

  • Balcony and terrace spaces to soak up the scenery

  • Secure bike storage for cyclists and outdoor explorers

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The cottage sleeps up to six guests in three beautifully decorated bedrooms (with the option of an additional annex for extra space):

  • A luxurious master bedroom with en-suite

  • A bright twin bedroom with en-suite

  • A stylish double bedroom with its own bathroom

The Location

Situated in Little Langdale, guests can step straight out onto some of the Lake District’s most stunning walking routes, including:

  • Slater’s Bridge

  • Blea Tarn

  • Cathedral Quarry

After a day exploring the much-loved and dog-friendly walks, the Three Shires Inn is quite literally just around the corner - ideal for relaxed meals and a well-earned drink by the fire. Dogs are more than welcome, but you can leave your pups if they prefer to snooze at home.

With its five-star finish, spectacular views and truly thoughtful dog-friendly features, Wetherlam View offers a seamless and rare blend of luxury and practicality in one of the Lake District’s most incredibly beautiful valleys.
