A gentle stream winds through, offering splashing and drinking opportunities alongside a peaceful cluster of trees that provide shade, sensory variety, and space to decompress. A bench by the river provides a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings with your dog.

Dogs Welcome on Sofa & Beds

Find out more

Welcome to The Coo Shed, a newly converted adults-only barn nestled in the heart of rural Scotland. Designed with peace, comfort, and character in mind, this cosy retreat embraces the rustic charm of the countryside with all the thoughtful touches of a rural escape. Stretching the full length of the barn, a breathtaking hand-painted mural brings the Scottish Highlands to life, featuring rolling hills, rugged landscapes, and characterful highland cows - creating a truly memorable backdrop to your stay.

Step inside and you’ll find a warm and inviting space, styled with earthy greens, golden tones, and playful hints of orange that reflect the surrounding landscape. Highland cow-themed artwork and furnishings nod to the barn’s heritage, while deep wood-toned floors, soft lighting, and plush textures create a calming atmosphere that invites you to truly unwind.

The double bedroom offers a serene space to rest, with soft linens and a soothing palette that makes it easy to unwind. The open-plan living area is perfect - curl up on the green quilted sofa by the fire after a day of exploring, with a drink in hand from the well-stocked sideboard. The kitchen is compact, but cleverly equipped, with a hob, air fryer, toaster, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, and all the essentials you'll need to prepare simple meals. While there's no traditional oven, everything you need for a cosy night in or leisurely breakfast is right at your fingertips, and the fridge and freezer allow for a raw food stash for your pup during your stay. Built with sustainability in mind, the accommodation runs predominantly off its own solar energy, allowing you to enjoy your stay with a lighter footprint on the environment.

Step outside into your own private garden, a 6ft fully fenced, secure space where you can sip your morning coffee or enjoy an evening drink under the open sky. It’s peaceful, dog-friendly, and solely yours to enjoy. The Coo Shed is more than just a place to stay - it’s a blend of glamping spirit and solid comfort, a hideaway for those seeking stillness, warmth, and a touch of Scottish charm. Whether you're here to explore the countryside, or to slow down and reconnect, this little haven offers the perfect base for a memorable escape that's ideal for reactive or anxious dogs.

Beyond that, guests and their dogs have access to a breathtaking 10-acre, fully fenced dog paddock, exclusive to The Coo Shed. This natural haven features a gentle stream winding through the landscape, mature trees offering shade and shelter, and wildflower-filled meadows bursting with buttercups and native blooms, with mowed winding paths to explore. It's a place where dogs can truly run free, explore, splash, and sniff to their hearts’ content,, with nature as their playground - all safely enclosed by a 6ft fence.
