Find out more
The Hayloft is a beautifully restored, dog-loving countryside retreat designed with both humans and hounds in mind. Sleeping four, this characterful cottage is saturated with rustic charm and modern comfort, creating a warm and welcoming escape in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.
Dogs aren’t just allowed they’re celebrated. From the moment you arrive, your dogs are made to feel right at home, with doggy treats and towels provided for every stay and a hot doggy wash. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds (with throws thoughtfully provided), and all breeds are welcome. The cottage is also suitable for anxious dogs, and they have recently panelled the entrance gate to provide a visual barrier - a carefully considered touch for more visually reactive pups, so everyone can relax and enjoy their stay in comfort. Dogs can also be left unattended, and a crate can be provided if you wish to explore some of the dog friendly local pubs and restaurants, and they're too nervous to go with you. There is also access to a secure paddock for zoomies! (The specific paddock changes due to grazing.)
Secure outdoor space, peaceful surroundings and countryside walks straight from the door make The Hayloft a brilliant base for dogs who love to explore or simply relax by your side.
Step Inside The Space
From the moment guests step into the open-plan kitchen and dining area, The Hayloft feels warm and inviting. Exposed brickwork and original beams frame the space, while soft lighting and natural wood finishes create a relaxed, homely feel.
The fully equipped kitchen sits beautifully beneath striking timber beams, where morning light pours in and the kettle hums gently in the background. Everything you could need is provided, so you can arrive, unpack and start cooking. From slow, indulgent breakfasts at the large island to relaxed evening suppers shared over a glass of wine.
Practicality meets comfort with a dedicated boot room and laundry space ideal after countryside rambles and muddy dog walks. Kick off your boots, towel down paws, pop a wash on, and return to calm without a second thought. Upstairs, the vaulted living area is wonderfully cosy. Exposed beams frame the space, and a rich leather sofa invites you to sink in beside the crackle of the log fire. It’s made for board games that turn competitive, movie nights under soft throws, and those quiet, golden evenings where the only sound is the fire glowing and the dogs snoozing at your feet.
Sleeping four guests, the cottage offers two beautifully styled bedrooms, each with its own en-suite for that added touch of privacy and comfort, plus an additional bathroom for extra ease. Crisp white linens, layered textures and gentle natural light create calm, restful spaces that feel like a true retreat at the end of the day. With dogs welcome to sleep on the bed it's perfect for those with separation anxiety. The bathrooms are fresh and modern, with clean lines and soft neutral tones that bring a subtle spa-like feel. A deep bathtub awaits for those long, unhurried soaks after windswept adventures, perfectly balancing the rustic charm of the cottage with a little everyday luxury.
The Perfect Countryside Escape
The Hayloft offers the best of both worlds: authentic farmhouse character paired with comfort and practicality for guests travelling with dogs. Whether it’s morning coffee at the kitchen island, afternoons exploring local walks, or evenings relaxing under the beams, this cottage provides a stay that feels both special and effortlessly comfortable.
